Botswana is a land rich in natural resources. This politically stable country has an economy that is based on mining, ranching and wildlife tourism, including sport hunting. Botswana is best known for the world famous Okavango Delta eco system and the largest population of elephant on the African continent.
For the sport hunter, Botswana is renowned for it's heavy tusked elephants and is simply the best destination for the hunter seeking big ivory.
Botswana is home to the largest bodied elephants in Africa. The ivory tends to be short but thick, gaining it’s weight through circumference. A realistic trophy expectation is in the 60-pound category, with 70 pounders regularly taken in our best areas.
We represent the top operator in Botswana who controls the prime elephant hunting blocks in the country. A very tight quota assures top trophy quality but necessitates the serious client to book well in advance.
Hunting elephant in Botswana is different in that tracking is generally not the most efficient way to see large numbers of bulls. Many miles are covered daily in the hunting vehicle allowing the hunter see and assess numerous bulls. Once a potential trophy is spotted, your P-H and trackers will take you in close for a better evaluation and possible shot. No place in Africa will offer the elephant hunter the opportunity to look at more trophy bulls “up close” than in our areas in Botswana.
Botswana is a destination for the serious elephant hunter. Our areas are prominently featured in the Boddington On Elephant With Ivan Carter DVD. Please call us for pricing and a promotional DVD.
